GlobeDuo features the alliance of Flutist Andrea Oliva
(National Academy of S. Cecilia Orchestra’s Principal Flute) and Guitarist
Costanza Savarese (appreciated soloist and a teacher within High Level
Improvement International Academies). Andrea Oliva and Costanza Savarese are soloist of a
peculiar level technically and artistically they’re considered major elements
within their instrumental field and generation.Their chance to listen to each other in concert has
allowed them to appreciate each other’s instrumental and interpretative skills,
meanwhile discovering a common view of music and of the musical event itself.
This gave incredible strength behind the idea of creating a solid Duo.The common view of the two artistic personalities is respect
toward tradition, and will towards progress. They are extremely motivated to
show the polyhedric expressive nature of both flute and guitar.GlobeDuo, regular guest of prestigious Institutions
and Festivals on international level, offers a wide, peculiar, and polyhedric
repertoire, with its common denominator of the widest research for instrumental
“color”. The repertoire is based on pieces purposely wrote for the chamber
formation, and on valuable transcriptions of modern and classic music sheets. All transcriptions chosen by Andrea Oliva and Costanza
Savarese feature an artistic composition fabric that allows listeners and
interpreters to clearly discover and delineate the musical event’s “dramaturgy”
in every score.GlobeDuo recently released their first CD, “Globe”,
for the discographic label “Wide Classique”, available online and in the best
music stores. After this first discographic opening, the chamber formation got
some particular and intense attention from specialized music magazines (within
Italy and abroad) and radiophonic transmission. Both dedicated excellent
reviews, and wide spaced interviews of the two soloists (in the magazine MUSICA
also making front page, in March 2012).

Costanza Savarese’s
oustanding interpretative and technical skills had made her one of the most
prominent artist of the new generation. Although only 28 years old, she
is frequently invited playing demanding recitals in very high-level concert
seasons that host such artists as: Berliner Philarmoniker’s Soloists, cellist
Patrick Demenga, pianist Enrico Pace, Leipzig Gewandhaus’ Woodwind Quintet,
Europa Galante orchestra, EMI exclusive artist Nazzareno Carusi, Decca
Exclusive Artist Roberto Prosseda, Grammy nominated artist Glauco Venier,
Deutsche Grammophon artist Alessio Allegrini, James Galway, Teatro La Scala’s
Soloists… Being a very talented enfant prodige, she started playing the guitar
at the age of 7 and by the age of 10 she was able to concertize the Five
Spanish Dances by E. Granados. A multifaceted and strong artistic
personality, on May 2012 Costanza premiered as artistic producer and leading
performer with Alessio Boni (winner of two Golden Globes), and the GlobEnsemble
(11 italian prominent musicians under 35 years of age, all of them
internationally renowned soloists and first solo players in such orchestras as
Berliner Philarmoniker, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Mozart , London Symphony, Mahler Chamber…)
at the 75th Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (Music Director: Z. Mehta)
for her concert-show “V e s p u c c i, The Italian challenge in the New World”. Costanza recently won two prestigious Los
Angeles Global Music Awards (in the categories: "instrumental solo performance" for
her Cd "Constance", and
"chamber music" for the Cd "Globe"). She recently debuted as soloist with
orchestra at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and the Ankara Presidential Concert
Hall. In the next months she will perform as a soloist with orchestra at the Palau
de la Musica in Valencia.Costanza has appeared on important italian
classical music publications, and as the Italian New Young and Upcoming Artist,
playing Schubert, on “ The Best Youth” TV show created in celebration of the 150th
anniversary of United Italy. Her Live performances are frequently broadcasted
by the Rai-Italian National Radio & TV, the Mediaset Society, the
RSI-Italian Switzerland Radio & the Vatican State Radio. An innovative and imaginative but
aware-of-tradition artist, Costanza is one of the very few performers to
heighten the relevance of the guitar to important concert seasons through
proposing an eclectic and catching-to-the-audience solo guitar and orchestra
repertoire by leading composers from all over the world (Corigliano, Tan Dun,
Rouse, Castelnuovo-Tedesco…).With long-time recital partner Andrea Oliva, Costanza founded the GlobeDuo. She remains one
of the few guitarists dedicated to commission and perform very demanding
transcriptions from chamber music masterpieces. Believing the flute and
guitar duet’s repertoire and expressive patterns should be widened, she
discovered and commissioned new artistically valuable arrangements from works
by oustandig authors of all epoques (Schubert, Grieg, Dvorak, Ravel, Debussy…).
The duo usually concertize through Europe in highly important venues.
Their first Cd “Globe” (label: Wide Classique) has been widely acclaimed by
both the public and the critics. Their second Cd has been released in Fall 2013. In addition, Costanza is participating in a
number of other musical projects and collaborations. In 2011, she recorded
music by Astor Piazzolla in cooperation with Nazzareno Carusi, Producer (EMI
exclusive artist) and Enrico Fagone (Principal Double Bass Player of the
Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, EMI artist for Martha Argerich’s projects).
She has been recently invited to cooperate in a video-art project for guitar,
voice performer and live electronics with Hermes Intermedia (a group of poli-artists
supported by Ennio Morricone for the “Biennale di Venezia”. This group
frequently performs with some artists of the Ensemble Intercontemporain). She shows her commitment to contemporary
music with her “Contemporary Ways”. For this project she commissioned some
italian leading composers to write Concertos for guitar and orchestra, and
chamber music works where the guitar has a relevant role. Having studied
composition for several years as a self-thaught person and followed courses
held by relevant composers (such as F. Nieder and S. Sciarrino) has been
fundamental for Costanza to direct this project. As a result, she has been
dedicated the Concerto “Canto delle Due Terre” by B. Battisti D’Amario (the
“Ennio Morricone’s guitarist”), the “Sinfonia Concertante” for guitar and
orchestra and a Sextuor for guitar, flute and strings by V. Palumbo (who is
frequently commissioned by Royal Halbert Hall and Berliner Philarmoniker), and
the Concertino d’Aprile by the composer and musicologist A. Annunziata.Since the age of 24, Costanza constantly commits
herself to educate young people by teaching High level Specialization Courses
in “Guitar” and “Chamber Music” at the Sherazade Academy in Rome, the CMT Superior Academy in Pescara and the Lemmensinstituut-
University of Music, Ballet and Drama in Leuven-Bruxelles.After the release of her first solo album
“Constance” (label: Wide Classique) in November 2012 she has been acclaimed as
“a world-class performer” of “outstanding professionality and emotional
impact”. She plays a guitar made by Matthias Dammann expressly for
her.
